At Christ in the Wild MINISTRIES we preach THE GOSPEL outside church walls.

Our method isn’t eloquence (1 Cor. 2:1) or words of human wisdom (1 Cor. 1:17), but preaching Christ crucified (1 Cor. 1:23), repentance, and faith in the risen Savior. We don’t use culturally-relevant or seeker-friendly strategies, but intercessory prayer and the Bible. We preach the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ that saves mankind from “the wrath to come.” (1 Thess. 1:10)

Venues include college campuses, abortion clinics, prisons, county jails, fairs, professional sporting events, tourist attractions, train and bus stations, truck stops, homeless shelters, parks, and wherever else one would find a high volume of people or foot traffic.

Also we do not seek to usurp or replace the local church. On the contrary we are tethered to the local church and go out with their approval. We are not lone-wolves. We are missionaries of the body of Christ.

“How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14

At Christ in the Wild MINISTRIES OUR MISSION IS open air preaching.

What is open air preaching?

Our method at Christ in the Wild is to preach Christ in the open air with bold compassion. Jesus Christ was “humble and gentle” (Matt. 11:29) and we seek to be the same.

Open air preaching is as old as the Bible itself. From Genesis to Revelation, men are seen preaching the things of God without the aid of a pulpit or the confines of a church. These men sought out the lost. Then they preached to them. Jesus was an open air preacher. Paul was an open air preacher. John the Baptist was an open air preacher. All the prophets were open air preachers. Noah was an open air preacher. The goal of open air preaching has the same goal as biblical indoor preaching: to glorify God and to call all persons everywhere to repent and believe.

“Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice.” Proverbs 1:20

GOSPEL PREACHING & INTERCESSORY PRAYER

The gospel is "the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom 1:16). The gospel is what God uses to save sinners from the wrath to come. It’s not the moral influence of another. It's not someone's friendship. It’s not soup kitchens or money. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ: “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Rom. 10:17). People must hear the gospel in order to believe in Christ. “How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Rom. 10:14). This is our only "method." WE PREACH THE GOSPEL. Gimmicks are useless. Toying with someone's will is in vain. The gospel is the only evangelism "method" we believe in at Christ in the Wild Ministries.
