Evolution: The Greatext Hoax on Earth

In order for scientific research to be possible, there must be uniformity in nature. What happens at a certain time in the material world will presumably occur again under similar conditions, producing the same results. We can expect the future to be like the past because the laws of nature are true, universal, and absolute.  This is what makes “the scientific method” possible. But if the universe operated according to the principles of Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology, this wouldn’t be so. Such a theory claims the universe came about by chance and time. But chance involves unpredictability and randomness. This would also assume natural laws “evolve” or change, thus they wouldn’t be laws at all and science wouldn’t be possible. Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology assume life came from non-life, intelligence from non-intelligence, morality from that which is a-moral, and uniformity from chaos. This view is irrational and without foundation.

On the contrary, modern science was birthed in a Christian worldview, not an atheistic one. When God created the universe, He established laws and uniformity that make science possible. The uniformity of nature is compatible with Christianity because God is orderly, not chaotic, and Christ “holds all things together” (1 Corinthians 14:33; Colossians 1:17). The God of Christianity governs the universe with a regularity that allows all scientific enterprise to be possible and fruitful.

Humans crammed in a world with other people require a basic shared morality. Otherwise the social world would be unable to function. What would society be “if every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6; 21:35)? Every moment of life involves moral decisions. The attempt to deny moral absolutes or to claim morality “evolved” from something as non-moral as astral rock is not only dangerous, but also inconsistent with reality.

Darwinian Evolution claims morality is just an aid to survival and reproduction, and thus can’t be considered “absolute.” But the ethics professor who says morality is relative will still absolutely demand his students not cheat on their test. Moral absolutes are inescapable, but Darwinian Evolution has no way to account for them. It claims morality is relativistic, determined by social or cultural approval. But if this were true, what happens when cultures engage in morally repugnant practices such as slavery or genocide? The evolutionist in this case would be inconsistent to condemn slavery in colonial America or genocide in 1940 Nazi Germany. In fact, he would have to admit them to be morally “right,” since those cultures saw nothing wrong with it. But we know chattel slavery and mass-murder is wrong. What’s more, unless others did also and spoke out against it, these practices would still exist in America and Germany respectively.

Christianity alone can account for morality, since goodness is rooted in God’s own character. Every person knows right from wrong, “since (God’s) law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them” (Romans 2:15). We can use terms like evil and injustice only because we have some notion of good implanted in us, which comes from God. A man can’t call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. Moral judgments couldn’t evolve from non-living particles, nor are they “relative.” To claim something is good or evil requires a standard outside any individual or culture.

Someone holding to Big Bang Cosmology claims the universe sprang into being from nothing, without any rational oversight. But such a view could never account for the unity, order, or the principles of induction or deduction that is required in order to explain the theory of evolution or Big Bang Cosmology. In such a world there can be no laws, no logical principles, but only randomness. All is subject to constant flux.

But what about the laws of logic? Without them we couldn’t understand anything at all. They are used every time we think or talk. The laws of logic are immaterial (not identified through the senses). The laws of logic are universal (the same wherever you are in the universe). The laws of logic are unchangeable. But Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology say the universe is a realm of random, material matter. If this were so, the laws of logic couldn’t exist. Also if the laws of logic only existed in material brains, they would differ from person to person, according to each brain’s evolutionary development. This would make thinking or interacting with others impossible. An evolving, random universe can’t account for absolute, unchanging, universal laws of logic, and therefore can’t account for thought itself. This is why Sir Isaac Newton recognized “it is inconceivable that accidents alone could be the controller of this universe.”

Only the God of Christianity can account for the law-ordered reality that every person in the world experiences and depends upon. Man is a rational being because he is created in the image of God, who “put wisdom in the innermost being” and “has given understanding to the mind” (Job 38:36). The Christian faith does not discount reason and logic, but rather requires it. In God there is perfect coherence and rationality, whereby He governs and upholds all things (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3; Isaiah 46:10-11; Ephesians 1:11). Also the laws of logic are perfectly compatible with Christianity since intelligibility comes from God, the author of truth, wisdom, and knowledge (Proverbs 1:7; Colossians 2:3). The laws of logic are expressions of God’s thinking and are reflections of His nature.

Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology claim everything began as inert matter (chemically inactive, insentient). Then, inert matter is said to have become living matter. But can rocks come to life? What about stars? It then claims this living matter becomes self-aware, then rational, then moral, even though no one has seen this happen in the universe or laboratory. Trees and hammers aren’t self-aware. Neither is slime. Nor can it be.

Also if humans are merely highly evolved atoms subject to physics and natural selection, life has no value or meaning. Darwinian Evolution claims all thinking is simply chemical responses in the material brain, determined by our environment. But of course no one lives this way. Our social structures and legal codes are designed to protect and encourage life and property rights. If man is only an advanced animal or some accident in the universe, why get upset if your child is murdered or if someone enslaves you for the rest of your life? Why be outraged by mass murder or terrorism? Why say rape or pedophilia is wrong?

Christianity alone can account for human dignity. The God of Christianity created all things and gave them their properties. He created man in His image. He gave us personality and self-awareness, which is why every human life has value or worth. This is why rape and slavery are wrong. Not only that, but the Son of God took upon Himself true humanity in order to deliver us from sin and death.

Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology can’t account for science, morality, universals, logic, rationality, counting, life, the dignity of life, or uniformity in the universe. What’s more, scientists who espouse Darwinian Evolution are having to scramble to invent new theories about their supposed “tree of life.” So the question remains, why is it so attractive? Why is it taught in classrooms? Why is it the new state religion?

Darwin was racist and a misogynist, so why is his theory idolized? Darwinian Evolution & Big Bang Cosmology are philosophies or religions that don’t hold man accountable for sin. They are an attempt by man to live autonomously (self-law; self-rule). But this is nothing new. When Adam sinned against God, he hid from God behind a tree. This is what these theories attempt to do. They are simply trees to hide behind from God. But God knew where Adam was hiding. And it’s the same with you. Your sin has found you out. “No creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account” (Hebrews 4:13).

The God of Christianity created the heavens and the earth. He created everything according to its kind. Because God has created you in His image, you’re accountable to Him: “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived.” This is why the Bible says about atheists and agnostics, “Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:18-23).

O reader, if you are someone who holds to Macro Evolution, Materialism, Naturalism, or Neo-Darwinism, turn from your “intellectual” idolatry and rush to Christ, the Savior of sinners. Turn from your desire to live like beasts and seek the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37).

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4-5). Repent and believe the gospel.
